How the iphone twist us

Here I want to post how and why we or me hate the Iphone but in some cases we like a few things. So ill start with the less. What I like about it. Now, you may be thinking has joefrank go crazy, no the only few thing I must say is what led to ower great phones. In this battle of which is best, some glorified device has led winmo to the ropes, and has led it just upwards. We that had winmo before know that thanks to that horrible device winmo phones have been cheaper.Which has led us to adquire great devices for less. Mostly with a contract of 2 years. And leaving the less thoughtful people paying 1000$ on a unlocked iphone over at ebay. I got mine at 200$ at the same place with the expence of not having a 2 year baggage on my back.. and the most I like that the Iphone exist is because now we have several app stores to help us reach the maximum of our devices. Also I give the creation of android to the outgoing battle from apple and HTC.
     But what leads me to think that eve was taken out of paradise for using an apple iphone. Is because, of the false media since its first release. And what cause me the most anger is to hear people say that winmo is new, and the iphone was the pioneer, haven't they seen a compac and the huge devices running on winmo since 1970's. Or the resent video from htc that clears this.Also what filled my cup the most is that the ipad was called revolutionary. Yeah, of achieving lies.....There are plentiful more capable winmo, or win 7 pads. And if your tired of windows there are some androids, but no ipad revolution.
But at the end of the day I laugh because of two things. First, when I play a great new game on my awesome Pure I know someone picked up the idea from the game from hells apple. And that in the battle for greatness two guns are preparing for fire in the near future. Winmo 7, and new generation androids. With killer apps.

  Well.. hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Android is going to win out against WinMo7 UNLESS all cell carriers decide to limit the tech like AT&T did with the BackFlip. HTC's stock Android is much free ranging than Motorola's Droid and Moto Droid blows away AT&T's BackFlip. The two major carriers here in States are Verizon and AT&T, one let the Android tech to continue being internally developed by us "hacker" folks where the other decided to TRY and force you to follow THEIR rules and limits.

Hey, I'll jump ship in a heart beat. Sprint has a cheaper plan and 4G.
....and there's a way to get out of your contract w/o penalty, it just takes some effort.
You're right though, Android is a VERY impressive OS. I hate to loose all the .cabs I've accumulated throughout the years but... WTF.

  I don't know for sure Android is solid, I can't say the same from the iphone which is based on popularity sales. And with the death grip and  the apple guys don't seem to want to improove it. But all though I hate some new features on the winmo 7 they appeal to the lost crowd to the iphone. But I must say I seen games that are awesome. And with the most certain hack it will be done to it I know I can go big.

    This can get us bigger highs

love that video because it is exactly how people enthused about any peice of shiny crap toy that comes out of jobs head!!! since ipods to the ipad its all shiny tyranical junk that is controlled by apple to only do certain things apple says it can do...
its rediculous to see how people have been brainwashed to be conformists.. the only customization you can do to an iphone is put a skin on it!!!!

win mo 2003 paved the way
win mo 5 made it easier to use and since competitor palm, was forgotten
iphone made a really simple noncustomizable interface run smoothly
win mo 6.1 was a joke (glossy win mo 5)
WIN MO 6.5 FOREVER!!!!
win mo 7 scares me abit... as a hard core win mo fan... hate to see the end of CE...
but we wont know until people start developing for it and hacking it...


most of what makes Windows Mobile great is its history.. it has been around for along time hence many people have had the chance to dive into it and change what they want to represent their personality.... iphone os= no personality!!!

proud to say i have never owned a device made by apple!!!

Good to know no rotten apples here. I agree no custom ui just changed the icons  on it and everyone goes ah.......

I just want to throw this out there, and don't get me wrong. I hate Apple;
But for UI's Windows has got to be the worse! Look at pre Titanium where you simply had lines of data, then Titanium they made the lines look better, but still crap IMO. Now WM 7 with their panels.
Thank God its CE so interfaces such as Manila TF3D can be added or WM would be just as bad if not worse than Apple.
HTC's Sense is my favorite interface because they have the User Experience in mind at all times.
Regarding Android stability, sure it doesn't run well on our Pures, but for the phones it was made for, its is fast and just does what it should. Just like Linux on a PC. No boot time, No registry to corrupt. Windows has a real competitor here.

Thank God its CE so interfaces such as Manila TF3D can be added or WM would be just as bad if not worse than Apple.
HTC's Sense is my favorite interface because they have the User Experience in mind at all times.
Regarding Android stability, sure it doesn't run well on our Pures, but for the phones it was made for, its is fast and just does what it should. Just like Linux on a PC. No boot time, No registry to corrupt. Windows has a real competitor here.

But, Bruce remember that titanium was a low profile, low memory comsumption ui for wm. It's purpose was served. I absolutly love the sence and manilla. And they serve the clients need more that estability. Titanium I can't blame. It did its job. It could be themed specially what made it better. But the new metro look on winmo 7 I read that they made it hard to modify so lets I now we have awesome people, like you bruce to go around this and hack them. But I have to say Titanium was't that bad aside from the new one.

the pure is my first htc phone with manilla/sense and it is indeed pretty amazing... but... i reall liked titanium. i think it was a major improvment... especially with chome what the majority of end user knows about customizing and tweaking their phones is very little so they like simple and easy to use not features...

sometimes we have to remember that microsoft does not design their os for the small percentage of us that actually know what we are doing on it
