Just wondering if anyone knows of a good program to transfer files from pcs to the phone without going through a direct connection.  For example, I do alot of 'searching' on my work pc.  When I find something I want to install/put on my phone, I have to connect it via usb cable and transfer the file (or pull the sd card out and transfer it that way).  One option that I sometimes use is Live Mesh.  It does a decent job but it's still in beta and there are size limitations along with not being able to transfer folders.  Anyone know of something similar to this?

Here's a free web uploader.  My company's web filter (Websense) blocks it, but give it a try.  there are other similar pages if you search around too

pcs.cruz-network.net

very simple.  upload *.cab file from your computer, punch in the code given on your phone's browser on the download page. download and open to install.

I was hoping for more of a standalone app for the device (a web interface for the pc side is fine)... plus, this has a 2mb upload limit which is way too small for most of the stuff I need to transfer.  This seems alot like microsoft's skydrive (which i never could get to work consistently).

you can buy a bluetooth or wifi usb card to network the two and simply drag n drop. you can also e-mail the file to yourself, that's what i do most of the time. but you can't use the phones outlook to download cabs, simply won't let you. you have to use a web browser which, while you can setup a push page, can still take a min. the easiest way is still a network. and putting your sd card in is pretty quick to.
you could also copy the download link n e-mail that for a direct download link.
