thanks to netripper over at xda, which I avice you to consider giving a thankul donation if you can. because he has brought us the speed to complete our phones as legends. Now with no underclocking or lock down when in sleepmode and also added the startup feature so after booting or soft reset we may continue with the speed. without needing to set again. It is a must have. so ill post when I get home and Ill add the link to the original post for does who like to donate.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7181187

What's the thoughts on running this full time?  Is it detrimental to the phone at all, and how's the battery life when it's running?  I've read a couple say no difference noticed, but most say they just haven't tested that out and aren't sure...

Any links to the main thread for it on XDA, or is it the same as your initial thread, Joe?  Smiley

Looks like Buru898 from XDA put up a nice Rhodium/Topaz specific instructions in the thread for the OC proggie: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7330081#post7330081  I haven't read it through myself, but it includes some handy pictures of things on the screen.  Smiley

A BIG question I have is, are scripts required to pretty much run this program successfully?  I guess for slowing down to 604 or even stock 528 they might e before a sleep session.  My phone however doesn't seem to sleep anymore (from an earlier post on here of mine regarding that) so maybe that's a Godsend after all, lol!  Especially when charging up at night.  Wink  Would using the "ScreenOff" program cause an SoD as well, or only actually putting it in true "Sleep" mode?  I should probably be asking all this on XDA, maybe it's time to register onto there...   Shocked  lol!!

Try this cab to induce sleep from power button.
Sceenoff shouldn't cause SOD unless you switch networks while device is asleep.

For me, it'll sleep when I press the power button, just doesn't screen off or sleep by itself after some time of inactivity.  I have to manually either Screen Off, or sleep it.

What's the advantage if any to the phone being in sleep mode, verses the screen just being turned off?

I believe the main difference would be connections would also go to sleep, where screen-off keeps them active.
For example, when I am connected to Pocket Controller or AS, screen-off will still maintain the connection, but if I press power to sleep, the connection is lost.

ok so I just let the phone go to sleep mode by itself?   Great dude kept pressing the power button and it slowed down again.

Yeah, AS it'll kill in sleep mode.  Data/3G will remain active however...  This I know from where in the comm manager where it tells how long the data connection has been active.  I'll wake the phone, and it'll say something like say an hour it's been active for.

You can try setting your band in your dialer under menu\ options\ band and set your network type to GSM from auto. This will prevent the band from switching while in sleep mode, which is when the SOD most often occurs.
