You can also use AudioPara3 or Dark Ninja's Sound Fix, which can be found here:

2nd post down. AudioPara works well for speaker and in call volume boosts.

I'm having a hard time loading the volume cabs. Once I get it downloaded, do I extract it from the zip file and then put it on the memory card in the phone? I've tried that, but I get a "cannot find file associated.." on the phone display. What is the proper method for this?
Thanks.

If they are cabs you dont need to decompress them just copy them some where in your storage card the look for them with file explorer on your phone click them and it will install by it self.

Just copy this file to your Windows folder on your device and soft reset.

Though I haven't tried it out yet, Touch Tools v1.4 also incorporates a volume booster tweak.

A question I have (and probably with an obvious answer with my luck), will this increase battery usage, and also will these boosters work as well when using bluetooth?  Thanks!

It will not increase battery usage. I don't currently use BT but I have been told there was no discernible difference. I've checked the CVS file and it has values for BT, but I've never compared it to the stock file.

Just copy this file to your Windows folder on your device and soft reset.

oddly enough, when I went to copy that file in the folder, a message popped up asking if I wanted to replace the existing file with that file. The date on the existing file is from before I bought the phone, and well before I flashed it. Maybe Energy's cookie ROM has it cooked in already?

If its too loud through your headphones at full volume, then its been modified, otherwise its stock.

I just tried this & it won't let me overwrite the existing AudioPara3.csv file.  It says it's a system file & can't be overwritten.  I'm going to try the Dark Ninja .cab files instead.  Which one is best for boosting in-call volume?

Use Total Commander to overwrite system filed.
Mine is better because Dark Ninja's is too loud.

I install the 20xx .cab & did a soft reset & it didn't seem to make much of a difference to the in-call volume, if any.  Was I supposed to use the 19xx .cab?

I would just scroll up and use the AudioPara.cvs file I posted.
If you are having issues overwritting it, I have posted Total Commander over in my help section, that will overwrite system files where File Explorer will not.
