I guess the old adage "You get what you pay for" is still true as ever. I recently ordered a 5 pk of screen protectors off of Ebay, $5 with free shipping, pre-cut for the Pure. Sounded like a great deal, things are even supposed to be washable/reusable.
Turns out, they are mega thin and TACKY on both sides so your finger and/or stylus drags on it. They also stretch to a degree so putting them on is a real PITA getting any air bubbles out without making them overlap the phone's edges.
Best ones I've seen yet are the ones that come with the phone. 6 weeks in use and not a scratch on it yet. Of course, I DON'T carry the phone in my pocket or just sling it on the truck seat, etc. so naturally less wear and tear on the device.  Icing on the cake was when I called HTC Customer Service and happened to ask what brand they are so I could buy back-ups, the young lady didn't know but sent me 4 more in the mail, free of charge!

Just a follow up on the protectors:

Still using the SAME one that came in my Pure box and STILL no signs of wear and tear even though I use the stylus alot.
Hopefully someone will discover the manufacturer of these so more of us can use them!

Hmm I'll have to try and mooch some protectors from HTC I messed the one up that came with the phone... I've been using these mirror screen protectors I got from ebay for about 2 weeks now, they look cool, but you can barely see the screen lol. I just got some anti glare ones in the mail today, 3 for 1$ shipped, gonna put one on and try it out. They do seem very thin though Undecided

Good luck!  I've found the real "thin" ones tend to be tacky feeling installed. Good test before going through the "install" process is to lay it flat on a table, rub your index finger over your blue jeans and then try stoking the protector while holding it still. If it feels "grabby" you won't be happy trying to flick to different screens.

I really like the factory HTC protector...  I bought a cheap one (seemed the same but scratched EASILY) that literally came shipped over with some other accessories from China.  =/  Anyways, the HTC one that came with my Pure didn't scratch at all, but this new one does.  How can I aquire another HTC one or 5 perhaps?  lol  Are the ones that AT&T sells any good??

I love the Invisible Shield. Very scratch resistant with lifetime warranty. I hosed one on install and sent it back for a replacement, no ?'s asked. I only use the screen protector and not the full body one because of issues with it, but have a hard rubberized snap-on case that I use for the body.

The InvisiSheild definietely looks quite nice...  Kinda hard to stomach $25 for a protector though...  But I did read how your's lasted many months thus far.  My HTC protector wasn't bad or messed up, so I shouldn't have really even removed it.

They are actually really nice! I messed one up of course trying to put it on lol, but I got the second one on there pretty good, the only problem I have had with them is that it seems like they are a fraction of an inch too wide so there is a small air bubble on the left side of the screen where the plastic edge is. Other than that, they are smooth for finger flicking, and they haven't scratched at all yet... would def recommend.

I ordered an invisible shield for my incite about a year ago. I really liked the ruggedness of it, but I couldn't stand how much it gripped your finger so I ended up shipping it back, which was hassle free.

Mine is smooth as silk as long as you use my screen sensitivity tweak Grin and flick lightly. But the Stylus will sink in a bit because its thick. I never use the stylus.
The only thing I ended up having to do was cut away around the speaker and the top because it was made for the Topaz and not the Pure, the Pure had just been released.
I did end up with a little Orange Peel effect but its hardly noticable and certainly worth saving your screen. I figure I've already been through 2 and will probably replace it again before I'm done, all for the initial $25. There's also a 20% discount listed code here on the forums.

Just got the I/S for my Pure yesterday.  Turns out many local mals now have an I/S specific booth/cart, I got mine in Arcadia at Westfield Santa Anita on my way home from work (for those in So. Cali).  $25 for the screen only INSTALLED.  I'd rather have them do it for me than hosing one on my own.  Pricey yes, but with the warranty it's well worth it.  So far I like it, and not having any issues with my stylus on it either.  It's tackiness isn't the best thing when using Swype, but if you're light enough on it, it's not much of an issue.

Try this cab to increase your screen sensitivity.
