If you're a Broke Neck MF like me and you drive an old POS or just can't afford one of those hi-tech BT Hands-Free Car Kits., here's a solution that I use and it works in almost any vehicle.
You see here in California, where they get you coming and going, its illegal to drive and be on your cell. (Even though I have pictures of "The Man" himself violating this law...those dirty rotten son-of-a..... nm!....... Lips sealed)
All you need is;
1. HTC multi-adaptor with the mini USB out for power and the HTC Audio out port
2. Cigarette Charger with mini USB.
3. HTC Audio Cable with Male HTC USB plug to Female 3.5mm jack and built in mic.
4. Cassette or RF Transmitter with 3.5mm jack.
So for about $15-$25 bucks depending on what you purchase and where, you can enjoy complete hands-free system to play your music from your phone, GPS Directions, or answer calls through your car speakers.
Its not the prettiest with cables hanging here and there but who cares, you're driving a POS anyways...  Grin

Also in California here Smiley
I have had a few friends get pulled over for talking on their cells, its quite a hefty ticket! Personally, I just check who's calling, if it looks important I'll find a parking lot or something to pull over in and answer the phone, other wise I just ignore it.. but I am lucky enough to have a car with a line in on the stereo, I still haven't tried talking to anyone through it yet though..

My car is on the loud side, so I prefer a BT earpiece verses a loudspeaker one...  There's also the speakerphone on the shoulder/head tilt method.  Tongue  Right now I have a decent Motorola H505 BT, same one I had for a bit when I had my Blackjack II phone, it works good on the Pure, more clear anyways.  But I want something better and with noise reduction built in. I looked at the Jawbone, but the talk time on it steers me away...  =/

Anyways, clever and cheap idea Bruce!  Now if only I still had a radio with cassette player, lol!!  Like CodeBlu I too am in California with the super strict cell laws while driving.  What I DO need to find, is a voice program that i can speak texts, and then it'll send them as actual text.  I've seen what the "TellMe" program ported from other phones to WM platform can do, but I don't like the idea of sending a text as a sound file like the demo video of it shows.

RF transmitter can be used in lieu of cassette.
Yes, pity TellMe wasn't working right on these phones. The Demo I saw showed it open the SMS and type your text, no sound file at all.

So it's getting there then with TellMe...  In due time I suppose.  Come to think of it, I do have an RF transmitter from my iPod controler in my car, I could impliment that into the mix.  Thank goodness for holding onto it.  Wink
