This one is rough.. I travel to other area codes alot and have this issue locally. With my more often used #'s I just enter the 612-555-5555 AND 555-5555 as a 2nd number. I THINK I saw a setting on it somewhere in contacts the other day while looking for a answer for another Stock ROM question. Let me peek again.
Another thing that's been driving me crazy about this one is I have no way of setting my area code as my default like I could on past phones. So now if I dial a number with the same area code as me without actually entering the area code ex. take this number 612-555-5555 & dial it as 555-5555 the call goes through just fine but in my dialed calls list it lists just the number, not the contacts name. Same goes for send a text message without manually entering the area code. The calls/texts go through just fine, it just doesn't show the person's name in my history.
